What it is for
Supports young graduates/recent degree-holders to spend a full year turning a raw idea into a prototype/MVP/PoC through a monthly subsistence stipend, nudging talent from job-seeking toward entrepreneurship.
Who can apply
Indian citizens domiciled in Karnataka; must have completed a 3- or 4-year science/engineering degree; not currently employed for remuneration; must not hold a stake in any other startup; must be 30 years or younger at application; must commit full-time to the idea for the 12-month program.
What you get
Monthly stipend of INR 25,000 for 12 months (INR 3,00,000 total per innovator), released via a Program Monitoring Partner under a tripartite agreement with KITS. Includes mentorship and incubation support at government-backed Innovation Hubs.
How to apply
KITS issues an open 'Call for Applications'; apply online via the Karnataka Startup Portal. Process: pre-evaluation, jury review, final selection by a Steering Committee, then onboarding with a quarterly milestone plan over 12 months.
Best suited for
Recent Karnataka-domiciled science/engineering graduates under 30 who want a salary-replacement stipend to build an MVP full-time for a year.
