Assistance for Setting Up New Incubation Centres by Private Entities

What it is for

Capital support to private entities and industry associations to establish new, state-standard incubation centres in emerging technology clusters across Karnataka, especially outside Bengaluru.

Who can apply

Infrastructure developers or entities providing land/building/infrastructure for incubation in Karnataka; must be set up in Zone 1 or Zone 2 districts; facility must have commenced commercial operations during the policy period; a new incubator should ideally have 7,500 sq. ft. area or a minimum of 10 occupied seats.

What you get

One-time capital grant of up to 50% of Fixed Cost Investment (excluding land and building), capped at INR 50 lakh, released in tranches on committee approval.

How to apply

Register as an incubator with KITS/Department via the Startup Karnataka portal, then submit the prescribed application form for KITS scrutiny and Approval Committee sanction.

Best suited for

Private entities or industry associations planning to build a new incubation facility in a Zone 1/2 district of Karnataka.
