What it is for
Establishes 50 new NAIN innovation/incubation centres in technology institutions (especially Government Engineering Colleges) outside Bengaluru Urban District to convert student ideas into prototypes and startups.
Who can apply
Host Institution must be affiliated to a State University in Karnataka or be a deemed university located in Karnataka, outside Bengaluru Urban District; 35 centres reserved for Engineering, 15 for Biotechnology/Agritech/Medical/Pharmacy institutions.
What you get
Each centre: up to INR 5 lakh per student project (max 10 projects/year over 3 years, ~INR 1.5 crore total) plus INR 12 lakh/year operational expenditure. The mapped PMU/anchor institute separately receives INR 10 lakh/year.

Apply online through the Department portal in response to a 'Call for Proposal' - guidelines available at Startup Karnataka's official site.

Eligible Karnataka engineering/biotech/agritech/medical/pharmacy institutions outside Bengaluru Urban District wanting to set up a student innovation and incubation hub.
