What it is for

A challenge-based grant program that pairs startups with government departments to co-develop technology solutions for specific ESG and smart-governance problem statements, moving from pilot to full deployment.

Who can apply

Startups registered with KITS/Karnataka Startup Cell; previous winners of ELEVATE or Grand Challenges are not eligible to reapply. Applications respond to a specific published challenge statement.

What you get

Phase 2A: up to 5 shortlisted startups receive INR 10 lakh each for a 3-6 month pilot. Phase 2B: 1-2 of those pilots shortlisted for further funding of up to INR 50 lakh for a 12-15 month full-scale deployment. Funding released in tranches, 50% on signing.

How to apply

Apply online in response to KITS's published Grand Challenge call (minimum 15-day application window). Two-stage shortlisting followed by a Pitch Day.

Best suited for

Startups with a working solution to a specific government-identified ESG or smart-governance problem, looking to pilot with a state department.
