What it is for

Supports individual innovators in turning an idea into a working prototype and, later, toward commercialisation.

Who can apply

Any Indian citizen with an innovative idea (Phase I), or innovators with proof of concept plus public-funded R&D institutions (Phase II).

What you get

Phase I: up to ₹2 lakh for proof-of-concept, or up to ₹20 lakh for a working model/fabrication/testing/patenting — capped at 90% of project cost.

How to apply

Submit a proposal through DSIR's PRISM programme.

Best suited for

An individual innovator without a registered company yet, needing funding for a first working prototype.
