What it is for

Supports the full innovation lifecycle for MSMEs — Incubation (idea to business), Design (market-competitive product), and IPR (legal protection).

Who can apply

Individual innovators and MSMEs, generally applying through a registered Host Institute (IITs, IIMs, NITs, dedicated MSME incubators).

What you get

Incubation: up to ₹15 lakh per idea. IPR: 75% reimbursement on patent/trademark/design/copyright fees (up to ₹1 lakh domestic, ₹5 lakh international). Design: 50–75% subsidy on consultancy from premier design institutes (NID Ahmedabad, IIT Bombay IDC, MIT-ID Pune).

How to apply

Apply through a registered Host Institute for Incubation; IPR and Design have their own routes via empanelled facilitators/design institutes.

Best suited for

An individual innovator or early-stage MSME with a novel product idea wanting to build, design, and protect it in one pathway.
